Crazy Dayz!!!

I had great intentions on starting on the scarf for the CAL. Needless to say, even with all of my good intentions I've failed to begin. I feel bad because all of these great people have given me great advice on what to do when I get to the second flower, and well.....I haven't even started on it yet! I've been working on a prayer shawl for my church. Then I joined this other crochet group at a different church, and well they are working on preemie hats and chemo caps. And then my friend is going on vacation and I wanted to crochet her a nice purse for her trip....so needless to say I've started on that too. I should be done with that one by noon today though. I will get that scarf finished by the end of May though! I am a determined woman and I will get it done. Hopefully.....:)

Oh me, Oh My....

I've started the flower scarf for the may project. I can't figure out how to connect the stupid things though. It hangs off all funny and well it looks kind of stupid. Maybe I'll sit this one out cause I really don't have a need for any more scarves. It would be a nice present though. If anyone could help that would be fantastic!

Yarn, Yarn, and more Yarn!

So, I went down to Charleston this weekend, and checked out this great little yarn store called Knit. I've decided that I'm going to drive down there every other weekend just to get yarn. This is not going to help out with my stash busting group, but I figured that I would eventually get tired of the drive. Y'all, I've never seen so many different yarns in one place in my life. I WAS IN HEAVEN! I got my yarn for the Crochet Dudes hobo bag (the pattern was in this months Interweave magazine, y'all should check it out). I'm so in love with that yarn....and this is why I'm single. I started on my swatch but got side tracked. It shoud have just taken me 2.35 minutes to do it, but it was so windy outside that my yarn ball kept rolling all over the ground, so I just stopped. And well amigos, I didn't want to get grass all stuck up in my yarn. I've also got to invest in a digital camera. How can I post pictures of my WIPs if I don't have a digital camera that works?

Another day, another dollar....

I'm still broke though. I'll be glad when my exams are over so that I can start on May's project. If I start now then I'll never start studying. I have to put my priorities in order......I also have to stop crocheting all the time because I think I'm starting to get carpal tunnel....

La Chica Nueva

So I'm the new Chica in town. I have no idea what I'm doing with this blog thing. All I know is that I love to crochet and I had to have a blog account to be able to join the Happy Hooker's Chain Gang Group. I'm not so good at the crochet thing but practice makes perfect....right? Oh, yeah, I have a really bad case of ADD so I have a lot of WIPs, and very few completed projects. I wouldn't really call them abandoned projects yet because I haven't been crocheting for too long. Maybe the Chain Gang thing will help with that!
